A Charlotte man has pleaded guilty to armed robbery and possession of a firearm by a felon in Catawba County Superior Court on Thursday January 18th. According to court documents, Marcus Deshawn Mayfield, age 31 of Charlotte, met his victim at an apartment complex in Hickory. Video surveillance showed Mayfield robbing his victim at gun point. Following his guilty plea Mayfield was sentenced to a six to nine year prison term.
