Caldwell Online Academy (COA) is accepting applications for students in grades 4-12 who are interested in online learning. This free public school option is available within the Caldwell County School System.
The application window is open through March 15. Prospective students can find the online application and admission requirements at www.caldwellschools.com.
New students are accepted via this application process, not by requesting a district transfer. The school features dedicated teachers with live student interaction, online clubs for all grade levels, and optional in-person events held periodically. School Chromebooks are provided to every student, and Wi-Fi hotspots are available as needed. Athletic participation is available at zoned residential base schools for eligible 6th-12th grade students per CCS Board Policy 3621 Student Athletic Eligibility.
Current Caldwell County School students, as well as homeschool, private school, and charter school students, are welcome to apply.Out-of-district students residing in counties surrounding Caldwell can apply with no tuition charge. Dual enrollment options are available to support homeschool or private school family partnerships.
