RR Donnelley, a Chicago-based provider of global packaging, print and supply chain solutions has announced that it will be permanently closing its Hickory Print Solutions facility in Conover. As a result of the closure, all 82 of its current employees will be affected. Layoffs are expected to begin May 19th and will occur over a 14-day period. The company cited “changing market conditions” as the reason for the closure. With the closing in Conover the company will have six remaining facilities in North Carolina.
