Alexander County sheriff’s deputies have arrested two individuals in connection with a drive-by shooting in Taylorsville on Wednesday. Deputies responded to reports of shots fired at 98 Mallory Drive in Taylorsville shortly after 2:30 p.m. When deputies arrived they observed multiple gunshots that had been fired into the residence. There were no injuries reported, and witnesses were able to give a description of the car involved in the shooting, and provide it’s tag number to deputies. Officers were able to locate the vehicle and suspects at a residence on Owen Braswell Road in Taylorsville.
Arrested were Devante Lee McCullough, 22 of Granite Falls, and Amber Brianne Thornton, 29 of Wilkesboro. Both were charged with one count of shooting into an occupied dwelling, and are currently being held under no bond.
