After more than a week since the incident occurred Morganton Department of Public Safety continues to ask for the public’s assistance in locating a vehicle involved in a hit and run.
The incident occurred on Tuesday May the 21st at approximately 9:00 p.m. Officers responded to a report of a vehicle crash with injuries on Carbon City Road and Reep Drive in Morganton. officers located a victim who had been riding his bicycle east on Carbon City Road. The male victim reported what appeared to be a burgundy passenger car, also traveling east, that struck him from behind and failed to stop. The man was transported to a local healthcare facility with non-live threatening injuries and later released.
Morganton Department of Public Safety is seeking information from the public that may have witnessed this collision, can provide information regarding the vehicle or driver involved, or have security camera footage along Carbon City Road that captured this event or the vehicle in question.
