On June 6, 2024, at about 12:00 a.m., The Alexander County 911 Center received a call of a shooting on S Thomas Lane in Stony Point. When officers arrived, they found a white juvenile male injured from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim made statements to the officers at the scene and was transported to a hospital by Alexander County EMS. Officers started an investigation into the shooting and a juvenile male was arrested and charged with one count of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill. The juvenile has been placed into secure custody where he will have a first court appearance today. Additional charges will be filed for attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious bodily injury, and robbery with a dangerous weapon.
At this time the victim is in stable condition. This case is still under investigation.
