Both Alexander and Catawba County Commissioners adopted physical year 2024-2025 County budgets at board meetings this past week.
The Alexander County general fund budget approved total $56,616,494 which is a 2% decrease compared to the current year’s budget and includes a 2-cent property tax decrease which will reduce the property tax rate to 65 cents per $100 valuation.
Catawba County Commissioner adopted a fiscal year budget of $322,709,358 while maintaining a 39.85 cents per $100 valuation, which is the lowest in the region and the 8th lowest tax rate in North Carolina.
