A mobile home fire took the life of an 80 year old woman Sunday morning in Alexander County. The fire happened in the 100 block of Frank Smith Mobile Park at just before 10:00 am. The victim was identified as Elinor Martin of Taylorsville. A preliminary investigation has determined the fire to be accidental,and caused by a faulty extension cord that had been run under an aluminum door.
