Arrest Made in June 5th Alexander County Shooting

The Alexander County Sheriff’s Office announced that it has made an arrest in the shooting that took place on June 5th in Stony Point. 

 Chadrick Ty-Quan McGee, 28 of Statesville was taken into custody Friday  July 5th and charged with felony accessory after the fact. The shooting took place at around midnight on June 5th on S Thomas Lane in Stoney Point. There officers found a juvenile male injured from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim made statements to the officers at the scene and was transported to a local hospital. The victim was later taken to a regional medical center and has since been released from treatment.

A juvenile male was arrested and charged with one count of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill. Later the suspect was charged with attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious bodily injury, and robbery with a dangerous weapon.

McGee’s alleged role in the incident is unclear. He was placed in the Alexander County Detention Center without bond, and has a District Court date scheduled for today July 8th.
