A robbery suspect led police on a multi-county car chase ending in Caldwell County Wednesday morning. It started when Charlotte Police responded to a report of breaking and entering. Two suspects fled the scene in a stolen white Chevrolet Impala, making way to Caldwell County where deputies deployed spike strips to disable the vehicle on Hwy 321 in Granite Falls.
Arrested with Scott Evan Tran, 35 of Charlotte. He was charged with possession of a stolen motor vehicle, and felony speeding to elude arrest. He was also served with warrants from several other law enforcement agencies with bonds totaling $175,000. Also arrested was 27 year old Allyanna Michelle Morgan who was a passenger in the vehicle. She was charged with possession of a stolen motor vehicle and received a $75,000 secured bond.
