Communities In Schools of Caldwell County is requesting the help from our community members who want to have a lasting positive impact on children. While we have seen a significant increase of those volunteering from last year, we now have an increase demand for positive adult role models at two of our middle school sites. Our students thrive when they have mentors who believe in them, and we still have a pressing need for more volunteers, particularly at the following schools:
- Gamewell Middle School: 8th Grade, Wednesdays, 9:59-10:39 AM
- Hudson Middle School: 7th Grade, Tuesdays, 12:10-12:50 PM
We want everyone to know that this type
of volunteering makes all the difference in the world to our students. This once a week commitment only takes 30-40 minutes, but the outcomes produced last a lifetime for those both volunteering as well as those who are mentored. I would be more than happy to speak with anyone that may be interested as well as having the opportunity to speak with local churches and civic organizations.
