New Taylorsville Town Manager Sworn In

The Town of Taylorsville swore in their new Town Manager at Tuesday night’s Town council meeting. The Council announced back in July the appointment of Nathan Hester as the new Town Manager.

Hester, who assumed the role last week, was previously the Development Services Director for Bessemer City in Gaston County. He also was responsible for all city planning functions. Hester’s public service background also includes law enforcement, where he was a Sheriff’s Deputy in Cleveland County for six years. Before entering the public sector, Mr. Hester served in the North Carolina Army National Guard for seven years, eventually becoming a Cavalry Scout Sergeant with tours in Iraq and the Sinai Peninsula. He is a graduate of Appalachian State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration.
