Vehicle Stop leads to Methamphetamine Seizure in Caldwell County

Sheriff Kevin H. Bean announced on September 10, 2024, Patrol Deputies with the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office seized a large quantity of Methamphetamine during a vehicle stop in Caldwell County.
On September 10, 2024, Patrol Deputies stopped a vehicle for displaying a fictitious registration plate. Deputies found the vehicle occupied by Mr. Robert Jason Price, 43 years old and Ms. Jessica Nicole Taylor, 35 years old, both of Lenoir. During the stop, K-9 “Pancho” alerted to the odor of narcotics coming from the vehicle. After the alert, Deputies located approximately 52 grams of Methamphetamine in the backseat of the vehicle. Deputies also located approximately 8 more grams of Methamphetamine on Ms. Taylor. Both were charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine and placed in the Caldwell County Detention Center. The Methamphetamine has a street value of $9,000 according to NC State Drug Guidelines.
