All Four Catawba Valley/Unifour Counties Declare State of Emergency

All four Catawba Valley/Unifour counties are now under a State of Emergency due to the effects of Hurricane Helene. On Thursday  Alexander, Burke and Catawba counties joined Caldwell County in declaring a State of Emergency, and will remain in effect until further notice.

Flooding, power outages, road closures, and hazardous conditions are expected in all four counties, and it’s recommended that you stay abreast of the situation by monitoring your county government’s websites and social media pages for closures and disrupted services, as well as staying tune to the Foothills Radio Group stations for further updates.
