Donation collection and distribution of agricultural needs continue at the Caldwell County Agricultural Fairgrounds. Ag South Farm Credit, Ideal Transport, Bobcat of Lenoir, and KICKS 103.3 have partnered together to make the Caldwell Agricultural Fairgrounds the primary site for the distribution of agricultural needs as a result of Hurricane Helene in Caldwell and surrounding counties.
Site Coordinator Neil Taylor said that they have delivered 3 semi truck loads of donated supplies since they began last week. Add to that, more than 3,000 bales of hay have been delivered to area farms.
The donation center will continue to be operational through next week, accepting donations from 8:00am until 4:00pm, and there are long term plans for the fairgrounds to continue to be used as a hay storage facility.
