Lenoir, NC – Toys for Tots is excited to announce we will be partnering with Yokefellow this year! They will be completing distribution at Yokefellow in Lenoir on December 7th and December 14th.
The Caldwell County Toys for Tots Campaign is a sign of hope and joy for the children of our community. The campaign reaches children of all ages (0–18 years old) from all social and economic backgrounds.
Jessica Smith has served as the Toys for Tots Coordinator through the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation since 2005. “With the dedication of my family and friends we successfully continue to serve the families of our community” Says Jessica Smith In the 2023 Christmas season alone Caldwell County T4T assisted 845 children, distributing 1,956 toys. Without this campaign assistance these children would not have received any type of Christmas.
The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation is an IRS recognized 501(c) (3) tax exempt not–for–profit charity. It is the only authorized fund raising and support organization for the U.S Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program. The mission of the Foundation is to assist the U.S Marine Corps in providing a tangible sign of hope to economically disadvantaged children at Christmas.
Beginning the first week of December toys collected will be taken into the Yokefellow Food Pantry area, sorted and readied for the distributions December 7th and December 14th. “We are excited to share our space with our T4T partners this year and hopefully it will continue to be a convenient spot in the future. Yokefellow has a wonderful, spacious “forever home” and campus and we are happy to share with the community” says Yokefellow Executive Director Sharon Harmon.
