Here are some of the Catawba Valley / Unifour area Christmas parades and lightings events that are happening this weekend and beyond.
Friday, Dec. 6th
- The Lenoir Starry Night Christmas Parade will begin at 6:30 p.m. in downtown Lenoir.
- Visit Downtown Newton presents Light Up the Town From 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. in downtown Newton
Saturday, Dec. 7th
- The Sawmills parade gets started at 10:00am with the parade route beginning at Helena Street near the Farmers Market.
- The Granite Falls Christmas Parade gets rolling at 12:00 p.m. in downtown Granite Falls.
- The Town of Hildebran’s Christmas Parade begins at 1 p.m. on 1st Street Southwest.
- The Hudson Christmas Parade will start at 2 p.m. starting at Hudson Middle School on Pine Mountain Road.
- The Alexander County Christmas Parade begins at 3:00pm, starting at the corner of Cougar Ave and Liledoun Road.
Tuesday, Dec. 10th
- The Downtown Morganton Christmas Parade will begin at 10 a.m., heading down Green Street and Sterling Street.
Saturday, Dec. 14th
- The Town of Drexel will be holding their Christmas Parade starting at 10 a.m. with the “Christmas on Main” event to follow until 6 p.m.
- Town of Rutherford College will hold their “Light The Night Christmas Parade beginning at 5:00PM, at Estes Drive.
