Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute recently celebrated 18 students from the Truck Driver Training program during a completion ceremony on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at the J.E. Broyhill Civic Center in Lenoir.
As part of the ceremony, students honored the memory of a classmate who passed away prior to completing the course. Student Zach Hatton began the course in August with the group but sadly lost his life in a car accident in September. To honor Hatton’s memory, students invited his family to attend the ceremony and presented them with a memorial tile and a CCC&TI Truck Driver Training hat signed by all his classmates and CCC&TI’s Truck Driver Training faculty and staff.
