On 12/18/2024 at approximately 3:45 pm, officers with Morganton Public Safety responded to the 100 block of Vine Arden Rd in reference to shots being fired. Upon arrival officer’s discovered shell casing on the roadway and an occupied dwelling had been fired into.
Witnesses reported two vehicles came to the intersection of Bracket St and Vine Arden Rd and began exchanging gun fire. Both vehicles left the scene prior to officer’s arrival. Multiple officers responded along with Morganton Criminal Investigation Division.
