The is still no word on the identity of the Human remains found by duck hunters in Alexander County on Monday. Alexander County Sheriff’s Office released a statement on Tuesday (14th) saying:
On January 13th, 2025 at around 5:49 pm two local duck hunters scouting located human remains. The human remains were in a wooded area around the 1600 block of Hwy 16 North in Taylorsville. Deputies secured the scene. On January 14th, 2025 the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office with the assistance of the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation processed the scene. At this time the identity of the human remains is unknown. This death is under further investigation.
