Caldwell County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Marquel James Jackson, age 29, of Lenoir, on Saturday, February 8th, 2025, in connection with multiple serious charges, including Attempted Murder, Attempted Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, and Discharging a Weapon into a Moving Vehicle. The charges stem from an investigation led by Hickory Police Detectives.
Deputies were alerted to Jackson’s possible location at a residence on Hickory Blvd in Hudson. Acting on this information, deputies arrived at the scene and were able to apprehend Jackson following a brief foot chase. In addition to the charges filed by Hickory Police, Jackson was also charged with Resisting Arrest by Caldwell County Deputies.
Jackson was placed under arrest and is currently being held without bond on the Hickory Police warrants. He was issued a $2,000 bond by the magistrate for the Resisting Arrest charge.
