Suspect arrested in methamphetamine distribution case

Investigators from the City of Lenoir Police Department and the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office ICE
Unit have been actively investigating the sale and distribution of methamphetamine within Lenoir and
across Caldwell County. This investigation was initiated following multiple citizen complaints regarding
illegal drug activity, including suspected sales from a specific residence.

Through the course of the investigation, authorities identified Travis Killian as a key figure in the illegal
distribution of methamphetamine. Based on their findings, investigators obtained and executed a search
warrant at Killian’s residence on February 12, 2025. The search resulted in the seizure of approximately
349 grams of methamphetamine and $1,000 in U.S. currency.

Killian was taken into custody at the scene without incident and has been formally charged with multiple
drug-related offenses. As he was already out on bond for a prior drug charge, he has been denied bond for
these new charges. His first court appearance was scheduled for February 13, 2025, in Caldwell County
District Court.

The seized narcotics have an estimated street value of $52,350 according to the North Carolina Drug
Guidelines. The City of Lenoir Police Department and the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office remain
committed to working in partnership in combating illegal drug activity and ensuring the safety of our
community.
