Arrest made in Alexander County road rage incident

On Sunday (02/23) at around 6:00pm Alexander County 911 received a call reporting a road rage incident where shots were fired into a vehicle off Teague Town Rd in the Bethlehem Community. Deputies located the victims, who were not injured, and observed two gunshots in the vehicle.

It was determined that the incident was a result of a domestic dispute between the unidentified victim and the suspect.

Arrested was 37 year old Steven Anthony Wine of Taylorsville. Wine was charged with two counts of attempted murder, two counts of shooting into an occupied vehicle, one count of violation of a domestic violence order, and one count of damage to property. 

Wine was taken to the Alexander County Detentions Center and placed under a no bond.
