Hickory woman sentenced 7 to 10 years for drug and property crimes

A Hickory woman will serve 7 to 10 years in prison for drug and property crimes following her guilty plea during Catawba County Superior Court on Tuesday, March 18th.

Angelica Leann Crane, 38, was convicted for trafficking fentanyl by possession, possession of methamphetamine, identity theft and obtaining property by false pretense.

Crane will also will be required to pay a mandatory fine of $100,000 for the trafficking offense as well as restitution in the amount of almost $15,000 to victims of the identity theft and property charges.

Crane was arrested on drug charges in December of last year and February of this year. She was indicted on the identity theft and property crimes in January of 2024 from her arrest back in July 2022.
