Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office announced that on April 12th, 2025 Deputies responded to a call to check the welfare of a subject on Brushy Mountain Road in Lenoir. During the course of the investigation Deputies made contact with Brandon David Earp, age 46 who appeared to be unconscious in a vehicle when deputies arrived. Earp was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and a search was made of his vehicle. The search discovered over 4 grams of suspected Fentanyl and one gram of suspected Methamphetamine. Earp was placed under arrest and charged with Trafficking Opiates and Possession of Methamphetamine. He is currently held in the Caldwell County Detention Center under a $40,000.00 Secured Bond his first appearance in court was 04/14/2025 in District Court in Lenoir.
