Lenoir Bicycle Festival this Saturday in Downtown!

Announcement From the City of Lenoir:

Join us for the 4th annual Lenoir Bicycle Festival this Saturday, April 26, 2025, in Downtown Lenoir. Ride through downtown, tackle obstacle courses, and take on bike challenges. Don’t forget to check out our local businesses!

Plus, we have lots of bikes and other prizes to give away!

The Lenoir Bicycle Festival will be from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. There will be a free-ride lane and three obstacle courses. We’ll have a Freeze Frame Challenge and the Impossible Backward Bicycle for you to try. Plus, City Police, Fire, and Public works will have vehicles on site that you can explore.

“The Lenoir Bicycle Festival is a family-friendly event for all ages,” Event Organizer Joshua Harris said. “How often do you get to ride around Downtown Lenoir on a bike without traffic? The obstacle courses are a blast. The Freeze Frame and Impossible Bike are a lot of fun, and we have lots of great prizes.”

Staff already have 12 bikes to give away, that’s one more than last year. There will also be bike lights, bells, and other prizes. Everyone who comes gets one free ticket for the drawing. Go to the information booth to get a ticket. The drawing will be a 2:15 pm. You must be present to win.

“And thanks to a generous donation from the Broyhill Family Foundation, we’ll have at least three more bicycles for teens and adults to give away,” Harris said.

Staff also have free helmets to give away, while supplies last. Find the Police tent to get a helmet and get fitted.

“I want to say thank you to all the sponsors who donated cash, bicycles, and other gifts,” Harris said. “Who doesn’t love winning a free bicycle? The festival wouldn’t be the same without the prizes.”
