A Conover man who remains in custody after being accused of stabbing his wife multiple times over the weekend.
Records show that Joshua Leslie Blackburn was sentenced to 5 to 7 years after pleading guilty to Assault with a Deadly Weapon with the Intent to Kill, Kidnapping, Assault by Strangulation, and Communicating Threats back in 2017.
The charges and guilty plea stem from a 2015 stabbing that occurred at the same Buddy Street location in Conover where this past weekend incident occurred.
Blackburn is being charged with Attempted First Degree Murder, and First Degree Kidnapping. He is being held in the Catawba County Detention Center under no bond.
