Interstate 40 is once again closed in both directions near the North carolina-tennessee State Line this time due to a landslide caused by flash flooding in the area.
The washout which occurred around 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday has the Interstate closed west of exit 20 on the North Carolina side, and east of exit 447 on the Tennessee side.
No word from official as to when the interstate could be reopened.
