Caldwell County, NC — [07-15-2025] — The Caldwell County Long Term Recovery Group (LTRG) is now accepting applications for disaster assistance from residents impacted by Hurricane Helene.
CCLTRG supports disaster survivors by addressing unmet needs that remain after the emergency phase has passed. Assistance is tailored to each household’s situation and may include:
· Home Repairs – Fixing structural damage, improving safety, and restoring livable conditions.
· Accessibility Needs – Installing ramps, railings, and other home modifications.
· Debris/Tree Removal & Mold Cleanup – Clearing debris, trees and addressing unsafe conditions.
· Basic Needs & Health Support – Providing groceries, hygiene items, prescription assistance, medical co-pays, eyeglasses, and dental support.
· Transportation Help – Offering gas cards or minor vehicle repairs to ensure access to essential services.
· Volunteer Support – Connecting skilled volunteers with families who need hands-on recovery help.
· Case Management – Personalized support through our partnerships to develop recovery plans and access resources.
“Our goal is to support individuals and families still facing hardship after Hurricane Helene,” said Rebekah Bumgarner, Chair of the Caldwell County LTRG. “Through this application process, we hope to connect those affected with meaningful support to help them move forward.” Applications can be submitted online at www.CaldwellLTRG.com.
