A Charlotte man is facing a series of charges spanning three counties after allegedly using counterfeit money at multiple businesses.
21 year old Tytian Elijah Kaylor was arrested Friday, August 29, by Conover Police. He is charged with six counts of obtaining property by false pretense in Caldwell, Catawba, and Burke counties. Authorities say Kaylor used counterfeit $100 bills to make fraudulent purchases at several locations.
In addition to the fraud charges, Kaylor faces four counts of breaking and entering a motor vehicle, three counts of misdemeanor larceny, two counts of uttering a forged instrument, and one count each of attempting to obtain property by false pretense and felony probation violation.
Kaylor is being held at the Catawba County Detention Facility under a $70,100 bond. He has upcoming court appearances scheduled for September 8, September 22, and November 17.
