Sheriff Kevin H. Bean announces that on September 18, 2025, the Caldwell County Sheriff’s I.C.E Unit made the arrest of two Granite Falls residents. The joint investigation with the Lenoir Police Department ended with the seizure of over $11,000 worth of Fentanyl and a handgun.
On September 18, 2025, Narcotic Agents with the Caldwell County Sheriff’s I.C.E. Unit and the Lenoir Police Department executed a search warrant at a residence in Granite Falls. Kenneth Christopher Day and Ashley Marie-Charity Hullette were taken into custody without incident. During the search, Day was found to be in possession of approximately 33 grams of Fentanyl and a 9mm handgun. Hullette was found to be in possession of approximately 14 grams of Fentanyl.
Day and Hullette were both charged with Trafficking in Fentanyl. They were placed in the Caldwell County Detention Center under a secured bond.
In total the investigation seized approximately 57 grams of Fentanyl, 65 grams of Methamphetamine, a Springfield 9mm handgun and $1450 US currency. The narcotics seized has a total street value of $21,195 according to North Carolina State Drug Guidelines.
