Fall Litter Sweep runs through this Saturday

Fall Litter Sweep is happening now, and we want you to help keep Lenoir clean and beautiful! If you help pick up litter, City staff will come collect your trash bags!

The 2025 Fall Litter Sweep runns through this Saturday, September 27th. This is N.C. Department of Transportation’s biannual effort to clean up roadside litter across the state. Residents across the state join local efforts to clean up North Carolina’s roads.

City of Lenoir staff has participated in the state Litter Sweep for several years, and this year, we’re asking residents to pitch in, too. Pick a street in the City limits to clean. Then get some gloves, bags, a grabber, and a safety vest, and start picking! To say thank you, City staff will come pick up your litter trash bags.
