The Caldwell County Agricultural Fair is coming to the county fairgrounds on Wednesday.
The agricultural fair will run from Wednesday through Saturday and will feature live music, livestock shows, art exhibits and other competitions.
Future Farmers of America and open competition sheep shows will take place on Thursday, goats on Friday and cattle will be shown on Saturday. On Sunday, the fair will host its annual Backyard BBQ Competition, pitting grillmasters against one another to see who makes the best ribs and pork in the county.
Caldwell County 4-H is bringing back its annual dog show on Wednesday at 6 pm. This year it will feature youth ages 5 to 18 and their furry friends.
This year, the fair will also feature helicopter rides for $35.
The fair will be open on Wednesday through Friday from 5 to 11 pm. On Saturday it will be open from 1 to 11 pm and 1 to 6 pm on Sunday.
