The City of Lenoir is hosting a drop-in session next week to share details about the Finley Avenue Area Water Improvement Project. The project will improve water pressure in the Finley Avenue area of Lenoir. The drop-in session will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Thursday, Sept. 25, 2025, at the Martin Luther King Jr. Center. Residents can stop by anytime to learn more about the project. City staff and project team members will be on site to discuss the project and answer questions. City Council approved the project on July 15, 2025. The adopted project budget is $9.4 million. Contractors can start as early as Oct. 27, 2025, and they should finish the project by May 20, 2027.
