New website helps residents track debris cleanup cases

BURKE COUNTY, NC — Burke County officials are sharing important updates for residents regarding the Private Property Debris Removal (PPDR) Program and ongoing Waterways Cleanup efforts.

The following information is also available for all Catawba Valley/Unifour Counties

In collaboration with North Carolina Emergency Management and Debris Tech, a new website is now available to help individual property owners track the status of their PPDR cases. Residents can visit www.ncdebriscleanup.com to check the current status of their case in the process. For questions or personalized assistance, property owners may also call 828-348-1405 to contact representatives from the NC SMART Program (PPDR).

Burke County serves as an information pass-through in the PPDR program, while all approvals and denials are made at the federal level through State Emergency Management. “We understand residents are eager for clarity and resolution,” said Burke County Public Information Officer Christopher White. “This new tracking system and continued field operations reflect the state’s commitment to keeping the public informed and recovery efforts moving forward.”
