Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute’s Radiography Program has been awarded an eight-year accreditation rating from the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT), the highest award given by the agency.
Seeking national accreditation is a voluntary process that administrators at CCC&TI have chosen to complete in order to enhance quality and safety of the program and promote excellence in patient care among graduates. Over the course of a three-year process, JRCERT requires that programs meet six standards and 35 objectives ranging from student outcomes, faculty qualifications, resources and services to students, to radiation safety and fiscal responsibility of the program.
“We are proud to announce that the Radiography Program at Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute has successfully achieved reaccreditation, reaffirming our commitment to excellence in medical imaging education. This accomplishment reflects the dedication of our faculty, staff, and students, and underscores our adherence to the highest standards set forth by our accrediting body,” said Vice President of Instruction, Liz Silvers. “The reaccreditation validates the strength of our curriculum, the depth of our clinical partnerships, and the success of our graduates in the field. At CCC&TI, we remain focused on continuous improvement and innovation as we prepare the next generation of highly skilled and compassionate radiologic technologists.”
Radiography Program Director Justice Talbot says “Earning reaccreditation from JRCERT for the maximum eight years reflects our ongoing pursuit of excellence in radiography education. This recognition underscores the dedication of our faculty and staff to advancing curriculum, adopting innovative practices, and maintaining a program that consistently meets and exceeds national standards.”
Being part of a JRCERT-accredited program means students train under the highest national standards in radiography, gaining a strong foundation in both theory and clinical practice. To further enhance hands-on learning, the program is investing in new and updated equipment that mirrors today’s workplace, giving students the opportunity to practice on the tools and technology they will use in their careers. CCC&TI is also constructing a new state-of-the-art Health Sciences building, which will allow the program to continue expanding and adapting to the ever-changing healthcare industry. This combination of rigorous accreditation and cutting-edge resources ensures graduates are fully prepared to enter the workforce with confidence and skill.
