Caldwell search results in drug trafficking charges

On October 15, 2025, a residence used for selling Methamphetamine, received a visit by the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office ICE Unit, Lenoir Police Department and the NC SBI, when they executed a narcotics search warrant at 39 Bumgarner Road in Granite Falls. The suspect, William Brandon Hibbert, age 24, was taken into custody without incident.
Agents conducted a search of the home and located approximately 316 grams of Methamphetamine, 1 gram of Fentanyl and U.S. currency. The Methamphetamine has a street value of $47,400.
As a result, Hibbert was charged with Felonious Trafficking of Methamphetamine, Felonious Possession of Fentanyl and Felonious Maintaining a Dwelling to Keep/Store a Controlled Substance. Hibbert was incarcerated in the Caldwell County Detention Center under a $1,000,000 secured bond. He has a first appearance in District Court on October 16, 2025.
