Sherrills Ford Disturbance Leads to Multiple Felony Charges

On Wednesday, October 29, 2025, deputies with the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office responded to Highway Tire in Sherrills Ford regarding a report of a disturbance involving multiple individuals, one reportedly armed with a firearm.

Deputies initiated an investigation into this incident determining that an alleged dispute occurred at this business between employees and a vendor. During that incident these two employees allegedly assaulted the vendor and discharged a firearm into the delivery vehicle. During this incident these two employees are alleged to have taken property belonging to the vendor and prevented him from leaving.

Eric Taylor Anderson, 26, of Sherrills Ford, NC, has been arrested and charged with:
• Shooting into Occupied Property
• Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon
• Second Degree Kidnapping
• Conspiracy to Commit Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon
• Assault by Pointing a Gun

Eric Anderson was issued a $200,000 secured bond and is next scheduled to appear in Catawba County District
Court on 11/25/2025.

Scott Eric Anderson, 57, of Mooresville, NC, has been arrested and charged with:
• Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon
• Second Degree Kidnapping
• Conspiracy to Commit Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon

Scott Anderson was issued a $75,000 secured bond and is next scheduled to appear in Catawba County District
Court on 11/25/2025.
