Domestic violence suspect turns himself in

Stephen Tyler Bolick, of Morganton turned himself in to the Burke County Sheriff’s Office on November 25, 2025 according to a press release from the BCSO.
On November 23, 2025, the Burke County Sheriff’s Office responded to 3931 US 64 for a reported domestic incident. Shortly after the call was dispatched, deputies were advised that the female victim had been stabbed in the chest.
When deputies arrived, witnesses stated that the suspect, identified as Stephen Tyler Bolick, had fled the scene on foot. EMS and first responders provided medical care to the victim, who suffered a stab wound to the chest and a laceration to her hand.
A search of the surrounding area was conducted; however, Bolick was not located. Warrants have been issued for Felony Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury and Misdemeanor Crime of Domestic Violence.
He was taken before the Burke County Magistrate, who ordered that he be held without bond.
