Parade Grand Marshal is George Herman, who is well known throughout the county for his years of service with the Alexander County maintenance crew, as well as his handyman skills and his wit. Herman, along with his family and friends, will ride on a float near the beginning of the parade.

This year’s parade has 237 entries, including 14 floats and the Alexander Central High School Marching Band.

For the second year in a row, the parade will have a “sensory-friendly zone” for those who are sensitive to loud noises or flashing lights. The zone runs from 1st Avenue SW (near the US Post Office) to Cougar Avenue (near Taylorsville Elementary School).
