Taylorsville man arrested for felony breaking and entering

TAYLORSVILLE, N.C. — A 911 call reporting a suspicious silver vehicle and a male subject breaking into a home led to the arrest of James Edward Cook on Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2025, the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office reported.
Deputies responded to Taylorsville MFG Road and found the front door of the residence standing open. Cook was located at the scene and taken into custody without incident.
Cook has been charged with:
– Felony Breaking and Entering
– Second-Degree Trespass
He is being held in the Alexander County Detention Center without bond. His first court appearance is scheduled for Monday, Dec. 8, 2025, in Alexander County District Court.
