The Alexander County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of 36 year old Nathan Daniel Smith of Taylorville in connection with the four month long narcotics investigation that led to the arrest of 49 year old Bradley Dwayne Smith on Sunday the 14th, and seized is approximately $61,000 worth of narcotics.
Nathan Smith, who was arrested Tuesday the 16th with the assistance of the NCSBI, Watauga County Sheriff’s Office, and the Boone Police Department has been charged with one count of Trafficking Methamphetamine, one count of Trafficking Cocaine, two counts of Conspiracy to Sell Controlled Substances and one count Possession of Cocaine. He was placed in the Alexander County Detention Center with no bond. Smith has a first court appearance in Alexander County District Court on December 22, 2025.
