On Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at approximately 9:30 am, officers with the Lenoir Police Department responded to a report of a shooting at a residence in the 1100 block of SW Tara Place.
Upon arrival, officers located one adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. Caldwell County EMS responded to the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries. The victim has been identified as Conner James Drum, 32, of Lenoir.
The suspect in this case has been identified as Preston Kelly Page, 34, of Granite Falls. Page has been charged with Second Degree Murder and is currently being held without bond.
