CCC&TI Offers Summer Bridge Program for 2026 High School Graduates

Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute is offering a summer bridge program designed for high school graduates to help students explore career fields, get a head start on earning college credits and to help prepare them for success as they navigate higher education and career training options. The program, called COBRA Launch, will be offered in July and is open to any student graduating from high school at the end of this academic year.

Cobra LAUNCH (Learning and Understanding New College Habits) is a four-week program that will begin on Wednesday, July 1 and run through Wednesday July 29. The tuition-free program includes two half-days per week, Mondays and Wednesdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The program includes free lunch for all participants and other benefits to help graduates who are exploring their post-secondary education and career training options.

Participants will learn more about CCC&TI’s robust Student Services division and resources available to all students. Resources include tutoring, advising, counseling, financial aid, emergency assistance and career services. Students will also learn more about essential college success skills that help promote long-term academic achievement and retention.

Students will also earn college credits by completing two curriculum courses focused on study skills and college-readiness, saving both time and money for students, parents and families. Earning these initial credits will help participants build momentum and confidence as they move into the required course work in their chosen field of study.

Research into summer bridge programs, like COBRA Launch, consistently shows that participating students are more likely to continue in their programs and continue work toward their credential. Summer bridge programs also help students transition from high school to college by helping them understand college expectations, grading standards, and workloads. The sessions will also help students learn valuable time management skills and tips for classroom engagement that help students get the most from their time in the classroom.

The program is open to all students who successfully earn their high school diploma at the end of the Spring Semester, but space is limited.

Interested students are encouraged to apply early to secure their spot. Application deadline is June 15, 2026.
