Four teens arrested in Alexander Co on multiple charges

On March 18, 2026, at approximately 7:00 p.m., the North Carolina Highway Patrol received a call from an individual who was following a vehicle possibly involved in a robbery. The caller reported seeing four males wearing ski masks run from a residence on Miracle Lane.

Troopers with the Highway Patrol conducted a traffic stop on the suspect vehicle at the intersection of Highway 90 and Lentz Road. Deputies with the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene and initiated an investigation.

As a result of the investigation the following individuals have been arrested:

Jordan Ashley Elijah Sweet B/M, age 18, of Wilkesboro, was charged with:

· Robbery with a dangerous weapon

· First-degree burglary

· Second-degree kidnapping

· Felony conspiracy

· Felony larceny

· Possession of a stolen firearm

· Simple assault

Sweet is currently being held at the Alexander County Detention Center under a $750,000 secured bond. His first court appearance is scheduled for March 23, 2026.

William Douglas Norton W/M, age 16, of Taylorsville, was charged with:

· Robbery with a dangerous weapon

· First-degree burglary

· Second-degree kidnapping

· Felony conspiracy

· Felony larceny

· Possession of a stolen firearm

Norton is currently being held at a juvenile detention facility under a $750,000 secured bond. His first court appearance is scheduled for March 23, 2026.

Additionally, two juveniles have been charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, first-degree burglary, second-degree kidnapping, felony conspiracy, felony larceny, and possession of a stolen firearm.
