The City of Morganton Parks and Recreation department reopened Bethel Park today (March 26th). A grand opening celebration has been planned for a later date. More information will follow in regard to that announcement.
They want the community to enjoy the new park, but ask that visitors understand that during the duration of the soft opening there will be continued work inside the park.
Currently both parking lots will be open, but when construction of the new bathrooms begin, the larger parking lot will have some areas closed. Until all work is completed, members of the public can enjoy a new playground, pickleball courts, futsal court, walking track, picnic shelter and dog park!
