Taylorsville man arrested for sexual exploitation of a minor

On March 26, 2026, the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office arrested Zachary William Terrance W/M, age 31, of Taylorsville, and charged him with four counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.
During the arrest, officers located methamphetamine and later discovered cocaine. As a result, Terrance was also charged with felony possession of cocaine, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of a controlled substance on jail premises.
Terrance is currently being held under a $200,000 secured bond. His first court appearance is scheduled for March 30, 2026.
