Authorities have identified the victim in the deadly fire that happened Thursday fire in the Dudley Shoals community.
Multiple fire departments responded to the fire on Spring Valley Place at just after 3:00am on Thursday. Firefighters discovered 60 year old Howard Thomas Jackson inside the basement of the residence. Jackson was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
