According to the Morganton News three people were found dead in a Morganton home on Friday Morning. Police were called to a home near Rob Carswell Street entering the home after learning there may be a child inside. The child was found unharmed and transported to the hospital. Kenneth Douglas Powell of Morganton has been named a person of interest in the case, but his location is unknown. Sheriff Steve Whisenant cautions individuals who may see Powell not to engage him but to call 911.
