A lawsuit against the owner of the former Shuford Mills building has been settled out of court. The lawsuit was filed by Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company for more than $2.5 million accusing J. Michael Granger of negligence. The News Topic reports the exact amount of the settlement was not released but that the lawsuit was dismissed with prejudice and cannot be refiled.
